A singe is a slight scorching, burn or therapy with flame. This may be due to a collision, including scorching 1's hair when lighting a fuel hearth, or even a deliberate method of cure or elimination of hair or other fibres.
The process is frequently to move one or either side of a material above a gas flame to burn off off the protruding fibres. Other methods consist of infra-purple or heat for thermoplastic fibers.
